Lekithos began with a single question...why should something as essential as nutrition be so complicated?

Our name comes from the Greek word for “egg yolk,” a nod to the origins of lecithin first identified in the 19th century. But from the beginning, our focus has been on what matters now—creating clean, plant-based alternatives that people can trust and use every day.

When we launched in 2011, sunflower lecithin wasn’t widely available. Most options came from soy, often genetically modified and unsuitable for many consumers. We saw an opportunity to do better—by offering a simpler, allergen-friendly source without compromise.

As our community grew, so did our approach.

We expanded beyond lecithin not to follow trends, but to build a more complete system of plant-based nutrition—one rooted in function, simplicity, and transparency. Today, our collection includes carefully selected proteins, nutritional oils, and everyday essentials designed to support energy, balance, and long-term well-being.
